For years man has debated God and especially Christianity. Let's face it. Jesus produced a larger following than any other potentate in history.
Now that's not to say there isn't room in the world for people of different faiths. I once asked a man what sin a person could commit that
would cause him to condemn that man to eternal hell. He answered that anyone who does not accept the lord Christ as the begotten son of God should roast set to London Broil.
I told him he just condemned 3/4 of the Earth's population to a but blistering without equal. Eternal damnation..... Think about that but it's a different
discussion.
I believ that God has enough compassion to accept those that lead Christian lives despite not beliving in the son of man. What I am saying is
Christianity is more a way of life than a religion. WHen a person does things for others they don't know without expectation or acceptance of reard the nthey
have acted with a Christian heart. They believe; they just don't know it. To bring this oint home let's examine Islam. These people are some of the most benevolent
and giving folks I've ever known. Now the Koran forbids the drinking of alcohol. SOund familiar? Yet prohibition is not mentioned in the bible and the
part of the Koran that prohibits booze is ambiguous at best so many Muslims feel free to drink these days.
Too many times I hear people talk about how to be the perfect Christian. Oh I get so tired of it. Charletons screaming at people on amplification devices about
how to be a perfect Christian. What God wants you to do. How you must act to follow the teachings of Christ. Oh I get so blown out by it all. JUST STOP! God
is infinite. The alpha and the Omega. Last as he was first and all mighty. We are told this from page one to the appendix in every bible everprinted.
So if God is infinite, how can we mere mortals, who are finite, possibly know what he wants? Simple. We can't but we can make a pretty good guerss. We have
a guide. The bible. It tells us in some detail, how to live and how to honor God. But we interpret it differently. I have yet to meet two people
who completely agree on the bible's meaning. That's ok. It's also my belief that the bible is big enough to mean something totally different
to every person who reads it and none of those interpretations are wrong. They are as God, who is infinite, intended them. Our very own personal guide on how
to conduct ourselves and where to find answers. A not so wise man did hit one on the head. He told me that the answers to every question you can think
of has its answer in the bible. You just have to search for it.
ANd this gets back to my point about people being crispy crittered because they profess a belief in Christ as the begotten son of God. While we are
commanded to do this I think there is room in God's purgatory for them all and a few more. So long as they lead thier lives as Christ commanded it, they
will eventually share in his reard. Let's face it. We all have a little while to set in the oven.
